The Emenies of Amirul-Muminin(عليه السلام) are Cursed

بسم الله الواحد القهار

Sheikh As-Saduq:

Narrated to us my father from Sa'd Ibn Abdullah from Al-Haytham Ibn Abi Masruq An-Nahadi from Al-Husain Ibn Alwaan from Amr Ibn Thabit from his father from Sa'd Ibn Turayf from Al-Asbagh Ibn Nabatah who said:
One day Amirul-Muminin(عليه السلام) said on the pulpit in Kufa: "I am the Master of the Vicegerents and the Vicegerent of the Master of the Prophets, I am the Imam of the Muslims and the Leader of the Pious, and the Master of the Believers, and the Husband of the Chief of the Woman of the Worlds, I am the one who wears the Ring in his right hand, I am the one who has callosity on his forehead, I am the one who migrated Two Migrations, and paid Two Allegiances, I am the man of Badr and Hunain, I am the one who fought with Two Swords, and I am the Rider of Two Horses, I am the Heir of the Knowledge of the First Era and the Proof of Allah upon His creatures after the Prophets and after Mohammad Ibn Abdullah(صلی الله وعليه وآله وسلم), the Seal of the Prophets, the people who submitt to my guardianship are blessed and people who carry enmity towards me are cursed, and verily my beloved friend, the Messenger of Allah(صلی الله وعليه وآله وسلم) used to tell me very often: 'O Ali, the love towards you is Piety and Imaan and the hatred against you is Kufr and Hypocrisy, I am the House of Wisdom and you are its Entry, and lies he who claims to have love for me while he hates you.' and Blessings of Allah be upon Mohammad and his pure family."

Grading: Muwath'thaq, its narrators are trustworthy.

Allah will not look at and speak to and purify three groups of people

[Qur'an: 2:174]

"Surely those who conceal any part of the Book that Allah has revealed and take for it a small price, they eat nothing but fire into their bellies, and Allah will not speak to them on the day of resurrection, nor will He purify them, and they shall have a painful chastisement."

[Qur'an: 3:77]

"Those who take a small price for the covenant of Allah and their own oaths-- surely they shall have no portion in the hereafter, and Allah will not speak to them, nor will He look upon them on the day of resurrection nor will He purify them, and they shall have a painful chastisement."

The verse mentions "the covenant of Allah" which is the Divine Authority of Imamate, as Allah mentions in Qur'an:

وَإِذِ ابْتَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ رَبُّهُ بِكَلِمَاتٍ فَأَتَمَّهُنَّ ۖ قَالَ إِنِّي جَاعِلُكَ لِلنَّاسِ إِمَامًا ۖ قَالَ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي ۖ قَالَ لَا يَنَالُ عَهْدِي الظَّالِمِينَ

[Qur'an: 2:124]

"And when his Lord tried Ibraheem with certain words, he fulfilled them. He said: Surely I will make you an Imam of men. Ibraheem said: And of my offspring? My covenant does not include the unjust, said He."

More details in our narrations:

Sheikh Al-Halabi:

[The rejection of (Abu Bakr and Umar) by Ahlulbayt(عليهم السلام)]

And the narrations are plenty through Ali Ibn Al-Husain and Mohammad Ibn Ali and Ja’far Ibn Mohammad(عليهم السلام) through different chains that every one of them said:
There are three kinds of people at whom, on the Day of Judgment, Allah will not look and He will not purify them and for them there will be painful suffering: They are those who claim to be the Imam with Divine Authority and, in fact, he is not an Imam, those who reject the Divine Authority of an Imam from Allah and those who think that the ‘two’ (i.e. Abu Bakr and Umar) had a share in Islam.’”

And through other chains: “the two first ones.”

And in other chains: “that the two Arabs had a share in Islam.”

Sheikh As-Saduq:

Narrated to me Mohammad Ibn Al-Hasan from Mohammad Ibn Al-Hasan As-Saffaar from Abbaad Ibn Sulayman from Mohammad Ibn Sulayman Ad-Daylami from Is’haq Ibn Ammar As-Sairfi who asked Imam Musa Al-Kadhim (عليه السلام), he said: “I said: May I be sacrificed for you, please tell me about those two persons(i.e. Abu Bakr and Umar). I have heard a lot of traditions about them from your father.” Imam (عليه السلام) replied, “O Is’haq! The first one is like the calf and second like Samiri.” I said: “please tell me more about them two, may I be sacrificed for you”. Imam said, “I swear by Allah! Those two made people Jews, Christians and Magoosi, May Allah not forgive them.”
I said: “please tell me more about them two, may I be sacrificed for you.”
Imam continued, “There are three kinds of people at whom, on the Day of Judgment, Allah will not look and He will not purify them and for them there will be painful suffering.”
I asked: “May I be sacrificed for you, who are they?” Imam said: “A man who claims to be an Imam and, in fact, it is not from Allah, and the other one is someone who taunts an Imam appointed by Allah. Third is the person who thinks that the two(i.e. Abu Bakr and Umar) had any share in Islam.”
I said said, “May I be sacrificed for you, please tell me more about them two.”
Imam (عليه السلام) replied, “There is no difference, O Aba Is’haq, if I delete a verse of the Book of Allah or if I deny the Prophet-hood of Mohammad or if I claim that there is no lord in the heavens or if I proceed ahead of Ali Ibne Abi Talib (عليه السلام).”
I said, “May I be sacrificed for you, please tell me more.”
Imam (عليه السلام) said, “O Is’haq! There is a valley in Hell called Saqar. It hasn’t taken a breath since the time Allah created it.  If Allah had permitted it to take in the breath equal to the tip of a needle, it would have sucked all the people of earth with it and burnt them to ashes. The people of Hell seek refuge from its extreme heat, stink, filth and chastisement, which Allah has prepared for those who deserve it. There is a mountain inside it. All the residents of this mountain seek refuge from the extreme heat, stink, filth and chastisement of it, which Allah has prepared for them. Surely there is a ravine in this mountain. All the residents of this mountain seek refuge from the extreme heat, stink, filth and chastisement of this, which Allah has prepared for its residents. There is a well in that ravine and all the residents of this ravine seek refuge from the extreme heat, stink, filth and chastisement of this well, which is prepared by Allah for its residents. There is a serpent in that well. The residents of this well seek refuge from the filth, stink and poison of this serpent, which is made for its residents by Allah. There are seven boxes inside this serpent, out of which five are concerned with past Ummahs and two are related to this Ummah.” I asked, “May I be sacrificed for you, who are those five among the past and two in the present?” Imam (عليه السلام) replied, “As far as the past five are concerned, they are Qabeel; for he murdered his brother Habeel, Nimrod for he fought with Ibrahim (عليه السلام) regarding the Lord and said that he gives life and death, Pharaoh; for he said that he was the supreme lord to his subjects, Yahuda; for he made people Jew and Paul, who made people Christians and from this Ummah are the two Arabs (i.e. Abu Bakr and Umar).”

Footnote: (Sheikh Al-Mawahzi): Bihaar Al-Anwaar: 30/407, Al-Khisal: 398.
And its chain is like Hasan(Good), it is rather Hasan(Good), its narrators are trustworthy and significant scholars and narrators, except for Abbaad Ibn Sulayman, but the great scholars like Al-Saffaar, Sa’d Al-Qummi, Mohammad Ibn Al-Husain, Ahmad Ibn Mohammad have narrated from him, and also Mohammad Ibn Ahmad Ibn Yahya has narrated from him in Nawaadir Al-Hikma and the scholars of Qom have not excluded him of its (trustworthy)narrators.
And Mohammad Ibn Sulayman Ad-Daylami, Al-Najashi has mentioned him and has said: “he is very weak and he cannot be taken as basis for anything.” I say: “Indeed As-Saduq has taken him as proof in Al-Faqih and the great and significant scholars have narrated from him, like Mohammad Ibn Isa Al-Ash’ari and Ibraheem Ibn Hashim and Mohammad Ibn Khalid Al-Barqi and Ali Ibn Al-Hakam and Al-Yaqtini and Mohammad Ibn Ahmad Ibn Yahya and Ahmad Ibn Mohammad Ibn Isa Al-Ash’ari and others. And in the narration of Ibn Abis Suhbaan from him it becomes evident that he had a high position and significance among scholars and his narrations in reliable books are too many and the source of critics is clear and that is the accusation of Ghuluw, which is rather a sign of his high status.”

Sheikh Al-Kulayni:

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Mohammad from al-Washsha’ from Dawood al-Hammar from Ibn Abi Ya‘fur who has said the following:
“I heard abu ‘Abd Allah, عليه السلام, say, ‘There are three kinds of people to whom, on the Day of Judgment, Allah will not speak. He will not purify them and for them there will be painful suffering. They are those who claim to be the Imam with Divine Authority and, in fact, are not so, those who reject the Imam who possesses Divine Authority and those who think that the ‘two’(i.e. Abu Bakr and Umar) had a share in Islam.’”

And likewise the Sahih(authentic) narration of Abdullah Ibn Abi Ya’fur from Al-Sadiq(عليه السلام), he said: “I heard him say, There are three kinds of people to whom, on the Day of Judgment, Allah will not speak.

Sheikh Al-Kulayni:

Al-Husain ibn Mohammad has narrated from Mu‘alla ibn Mohammad from abu Dawood al-Mustariqq from Ali ibn Maymoon from Ibn Abi Ya‘fur who has said the following:
“Once I heard abu ‘Abd Allah, عليه السلام, say, ‘There will be three kinds of people to whom Allah will not look on the Day of Judgment. He will not purify them and they will suffer painful punishments. They are those who claim to be the Imam but without authority from Allah, those who reject the Imam (Leader with Divine Authority), and those who think that for the ‘two’(i.e. Abu Bakr and Umar)  there is a share in Islam.’”

Sheikh An-Nu’mani:

And narrated to us Ahmad Ibn Mohammad Ibn Sa’eed Ibn Abdur-Rahman from Mohammad Ibn Al-Mufaddal Ibn Ibraheem Al-Ash’ari from Mohammad Ibn Abdullah Ibn Zurara from Marzbaan Al-Qummi from Imraan Al-Ash’ari from Ja’far Ibn Mohammad(عليه السلام) who said:
There are three kinds of people at whom, on the Day of Judgment, Allah will not look and He will not purify them and for them there will be painful suffering. They are those who claim to be the Imam with Divine Authority and, in fact, he is not an Imam, those who reject a rightful Imam and say that he is not an Imam and, in fact, he is an Imam, and those who think that the ‘two’ (i.e. Abu Bakr and Umar) had a share in Islam.’”

And narrated to us Mohammad Ibn Yaqoub from Al-Husain ibn Mohammad has narrated from Mu‘alla ibn Mohammad from abu Dawood al-Mustariqq from Ali ibn Maymoon from Ibn Abi Ya‘fur who has said the following:
“Once I heard abu ‘Abd Allah, عليه السلام, say, ‘There will be three kinds of people to whom Allah will not look on the Day of Judgment. Sheikh Yusuf Al-Bahrani:

And it is obvious is in the narration that he(i.e. Sheikh As-Saduq) has narrated in Al-Khisal through his chain from Abi Malik Al-Juhani who said: Once I heard abu ‘Abd Allah, عليه السلام, say, There are three kinds of people to whom, on the Day of Judgment, Allah will not speak. He will not purify them and for them there will be painful suffering. They are those who claim to be the Imam with Divine Authority and, in fact, his authority is not from Allah Almighty, those who reject the Imam who possesses Divine Authority from Allah Almighty and those who think that the ‘two’(i.e. Abu Bakr and Umar) had a share in Islam.’”

And An-Nu’mani has narrated in his book Al-Ghaybah through a Sahih(authentic) chain from Imraan Al-Ash’ari from Ja’far Ibn Mohammad like this narration. We seek refuge to Allah from weakness of understanding and evil desires and ask Him, the Sublime, to take it easy upon us and them(i.e. the scholars) in matters like this.

Sheikh As-Saduq:

Narrated to us my father, may Allah be pleased with him, from Sa’d Ibn Abdullah from Ali Ibn Isma’eel Al-Ash’ari from Mohammad Ibn Sinan from Abi Malik Al-Juhani who said: I heard Aba Abdullah(عليه السلام)  saying:
There are three kinds of people to whom, on the Day of Judgment, Allah will not speak. He will not look at them and will not purify them and for them there will be painful suffering. There are three kinds of people at whom, on the Day of Judgment, Allah will not look and He will not purify them and for them there will be painful suffering. They are those who claim to be the Imam with Divine Authority and, in fact, it does not belong to him, those who reject the Imam who possesses Divine Authority from Allah and those who think that so-and-so and so-and-so (i.e. Abu Bakr and Umar) had a share in Islam.’”

Narrated Abi Hamzah Al-Thumali from Ali Ibn Al-Husain(عليه السلام) who said:
There are three kinds of people to whom, on the Day of Judgment, Allah will not speak and He will look at them and will not purify them and for them there will be painful suffering. Some might interpret "the two" at the end of some of the above narrations, as the two groups of people that have been mentioned at the beginning of those narrations. The reply to those people is that there is no room for such an interpretation after we have presented different wordings of the narrations that point out that "the two" are none other than Abu Bakr and Umar.

The Religion/Beliefs through which Allah accepts our deeds

بسم الله الواحد القهار

Sheikh Hadi An-Najafi:

Al-Kulayni from Al-Husain Ibn Mohammad from Mu’alla Ibn Mohammad from al-Washsha’ from Aban from Isma’il al-Ju’fi who has said the following:

“Once a man came to abu Ja’far(عليه السلام). He had a book with him. Abu Ja’far(عليه السلام) said, ‘This is the book of a polemicist who wants to learn a religion that if followed ones deeds are accepted.’ The man said, ‘May the blessings of Allah be with you, this is exactly what I want.’ Abu Ja’far(عليه السلام) said, ‘Such religion is to testify that no one deserves to be worshipped except Allah, Who has no partners. That Mohammad(صلی الله وعليه وآله) is His servant and Messenger. And that you affirm and acknowledge that whatever he has brought is from Allah. That one has love (in his heart) for us, Ahl al-Bayt, and disassociates himself from our enemies, obeys our commands, maintains piety and humbleness in life and has hope in the rise from us of one with the Divine Authority. For us there is a government and he will establish it when Allah wills.’”

Did the Ahlulbayt(عليهم السلام) use insulting words?

بسم الله الواحد القهار

Sheikh Sayyed Mohammad Taqi Al-Musawi Al-Isfahani:

Among the traditions that indicate this is a tradition that Kulayni has mentioned in Usul Kafi through a highly authentic chain of narrators from Sadir As-Sairafi that he said: “I heard Abu Abdillah, (عليه السلام), say: ‘In the Master of this affair there is a likeness to Yusuf, (عليه السلام).’ “He said: “I said to him: ‘You must be referring to [al-Mahdi], but to his life or his occultation?’
“He said: “Then he said to me: ‘Which does this swine-like Ummah deny? The brothers of Yusuf, (عليه السلام), were descendants of prophets; they made a business of Yusuf, then they traded with him and spoke with him, and they were his brothers and he was their brother; but they did not know who he was until he said: “I am Yusuf and this is my brother.”[12:90]
So why does this cursed Ummah deny that Allah, to whom belong Might and Majesty, can do with His Divine Proof at some time or other what he did with Yusuf? Yusuf, (عليه السلام), held sovereignty over Egypt and between him and his father there was an eighteen day journey; if he had wanted to let [his father] know he would have done so. But Yaqoob, (عليه السلام), and his sons, on [hearing] the good news, traveled the distance from their desert to Egypt in nine days. So how can this group deny that Allah, to Whom belong Might and Majesty, can do with his Divine Proof what he did with Yusuf? He will [come and] go in their markets and step on their rugs [i.e., enter their homes] until Allah to whom belong Might and Majesty, gives him leave in this matter; just as He gave Yusuf leave and they said: “Why, are you indeed Yusuf?” “I am Yusuf,” he said.[12:90]
